The maritime business show NAVEXPO postpones its 5th edition from 7 to 9 October 2020 to the Port of Lorient the Base

With the health crisis linked to the spread of coronavirus Covid-19, the Navexpo show, initially scheduled in April and already postponed for the first time in June, was finally postponed to October. This international event, which welcomes 4000 visitors over three days, plans to anchor its success for its fifth edition

"The Navexpo", a major event for professionals in the maritime sector

With its exhibition stands and boats afloat, this event showcases companies in shipbuilding and repair, port and offshore infrastructure and marine and underwater operations. All related sectors (safety / security, Port easement, fishing, aquaculture, works, transport, offshore) are addressed, both to industrial groups and companies in the naval and maritime sector as well as to French and international decision-makers.

Onboard visits, sea trials and demonstrations

Located on the Atlantic arc at the crossroads of the great naval industrial basins, this dynamic and innovative event covers a wide spectrum. The demonstrations in the port and the tests at sea are attended by professionals wishing to establish contacts with the hundred exhibitors. One of the new Fast Crew Supplier catamarans from Jifmar Offshore Services and the regular Efinor Sea Cleaner with its electric-powered clean-up boat are expected to share the limelight with the "indestructible" hull ship from the Dutch shipyard Tideman Boats. This French maritime show is unique in its genre by offering a floating exhibition.

Trade exchanges, technical discussions and expert roundtables

Professionals and experts will discuss regulatory developments in underwater works in 2020, the latest innovations in the field of hybrid electric professional boats or the dock current solution "PLUG". This year, 4 conferences are dedicated to the theme of naval innovation in the transition to new energy sources and a conference on the underwater works sector that should attract many professionals in the sector.

Stimulate the marine sector during tense times

This is the second time the show date has been rescheduled. The severity of the health crisis has set a precedent.  Five months after the loosening of lockdown measures scheduled for May 11, the organizers want more than ever a record of attendance to revive the maritime economy. A large part of the event is organized outside: a major advantage to enable visiting the places in good sanitary conditions.
